Condition match is designed to help clarify how to begin to explore the world of Essential Oils. Very simply look down the table in alphabetical order and match your health condition to the natural solution, this covers essential oils but there will be others covering therapeutic soaps and many other of our products.
At the end of the arrtiicle are all the related products mentioned in the Info Blog. The oils mentioned form the basis of many other essential oil tretments as they are often used in combination.
These are more neutral oils, they still have skin softening qualities but are used to dilute out the power of some of oils which can be quite potent. Carrier oils include such oils as Almond Oil, Grape Seed oil, Wheat germ oil if you are just starting out to discover essential oils you can use a quality oilive oil as a carrier oil before going on to the lighter more easily absorbed oils listed above.
Some oils such as Thyme, Lavender, Peppermint and Citronella in their neat form might cause a skin reacion, you should always test the oils you intend to use on your skin in small quantities to make sure you do NOT have an adverse reaction. Some skins can be quite sensitive so its always best to make sure.
If you are a person who is sensitive and easily gets rashes, welts or hives or if you are on prescription medication it is worth doing a test to see if the essential oil you are using is going to cause you a skin problem.
For standard essential oils add 1 drop of the oil to a teaspoon of carrier oil, (olive oil is OK) add a drop of this diluted mixture to your skin, inside of your wrist, elbow or knee are good places. Cover with a plaster and leave for 24 hours.
Any reaction and you should wash it off with soap and water. If you are using any of these hot or potent oils (see below) dilute it further by using 1 drop of the oil being tested to a tablespoon of carrier oil.
